Privacy Policy

HauteKit ("we", "us") operates the Vocal Remover mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

Information the App handles

• Songs and recordings you import are processed on your device for on-device separation; in that mode your audio never leaves your device.
• Only when you choose cloud separation or a cloud preview is the audio uploaded for processing. It is handled by our storage and GPU providers and deleted automatically within 24 hours; preview results are deleted when you close them.
• An anonymous identifier (a random UUID in your device keychain, plus an anonymous transaction number) tracks your usage allowance. It is not linked to your name or any account.
• Anonymous usage events (app launches, feature use, whether a separation succeeded — never audio content) are sent to our analytics provider in the European Union, identified by a one-way hash that cannot be reversed or linked across apps. We do not use your advertising ID, show ads, or track you across apps.
• When you use lyrics, only the song title and artist name are sent to a public lyrics database; no audio is uploaded.

The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.

How information is used

The information described above is used only to run the App's core features: providing on-device and cloud separation, tracking your usage allowance, improving the App, and managing your subscription. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Third-party services

The App relies on the following services, which process information as described above under their own privacy policies:

• Apple — payment and subscription processing
• Cloudflare — content delivery and temporary storage for cloud processing
• RunPod — GPU audio processing for cloud separation
• PostHog — anonymous usage analytics, hosted in the EU
• LRCLIB — public lyrics database used for lyrics lookup

Data storage and retention

We do not operate user accounts and do not maintain profiles of individual users. Content you create in the App is stored on your device and is under your control; deleting the App removes it. Audio uploaded for cloud processing is deleted automatically within 24 hours. Your App Store receipt is verified on our server and never stored; only the anonymous transaction number is kept for allowance accounting.

Data security

All network requests made by the App use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we limit what leaves your device to the minimum a feature needs. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but collecting less is the most reliable protection.

Your choices and rights

• You can use the App without providing any personal information.
• You can erase everything the App has created by deleting it from your device.
• Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we do not hold identifiable user profiles, your device is the fastest place to exercise those rights — and you can always contact us with a request.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

The App is offered worldwide. Cloud separation is processed by our storage and GPU providers, which may be located in a country other than yours; usage analytics are stored in the European Union. Using the App means you understand and accept this.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
